Service Terms and Conditions

General Indemnity
LIONSROCK Lodge (Pty) Ltd, LIONSROCK Park Section 21 NGO, LIONSROCK Sanctuary (Pty) Ltd, FOUR PAWS Animal Welfare Foundation Section 21 NGO, or any of its members, directors, staff or any associated person or organisation (for the purpose of this contract collectively known as LIONSROCK Lodge) are hereby indemnified from any loss of property, damage to property or any injury to visitors that may occur while visiting the property for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to day visits, overnight accommodation, activities, game drives or any other activities with or without the permission of management or any staff member.

It is agreed that no civil action may be instituted against LIONSROCK Lodge or any of its members, directors, staff or any associated person or organisation) for any reason as outlined in the conditions above.

Please note, even though our Big Cats are in enclosures, they remain wild and are to be treated as dangerous and unpredictable. No animals are to be physically handled, under any circumstances whatsoever. No animals are to be fed or teased.

Please do not litter. We care for the environment and sanctuary shared by our animals and guests alike, litter will harm the animals.

It is an offense to use private vehicles for game viewing on the property. You may only drive on the road from the entrance gate to the lodge.

Whilst every care has been taken by LIONSROCK Lodge to ensure the safety of guests and their possessions during your stay, LIONSROCK Lodge and management does not accept any liability in the event that any loss or damage to persons or property is experienced by a guest and their group. Minors are the sole responsibility of the parents, guardian(s) or the person or persons in whose care they are whilst at LIONSROCK Lodge or whilst using its facilities. Please be aware that we have no lifeguard on duty at the pool and no minors to enter this area unaccompanied by parents/guardians.

Valuables
LIONSROCK Lodge and management does not accept any liability for loss of or damage to any valuables or property belonging to guests or their group. This includes but is not limited to photographic equipment, laptops or other electronic devices, jewelry, cash and vehicles.

Loss or Damage to LIONSROCK Lodge
Should LIONSROCK Lodge suffer any loss or damage as a result of an act or omission by a guest or visitor of a guest, the guest will remain liable for full reimbursement of such loss or damage incurred and will be billed accordingly.

Right of Admission Reserved
LIONSROCK Lodge at all times reserves the full right of admission and accepts no liability for any loss or damage that may result from the legal and reasonable exercising of such rights. LIONSROCK Lodge management reserves the right to refuse alcoholic beverages to guests who are demonstrating intoxicated behavior. Management further reserves the right to remove/have guests removed from the premises, who pose a threat, discomfort or danger to other guests and/or the buildings and all of its contents and the sanctuary. A maximum number of two guests are allowed in all the guest rooms. Guest Rooms, which were reserved for one guest, will attract an additional charge should the guest occupancy exceed this number. No pets are allowed on the premises.

Excessive noise
No excessive noise-levels will be tolerated on the premises. Guests are unfortunately not allowed to play their own music (from vehicles on the premises, inside guest rooms etc.). Management reserves to their sole discretion, the right to control the noise level and music timing.

Smoking, firearms and other hazardous objects
For the comfort of our guests, LIONSROCK Lodge is a strictly non-smoking accommodation establishment except for outside guest areas. No fire arms and/or weapons may be kept within the premises. The use of candles and gas lamps inside the guest rooms are strictly forbidden.

Billing & Payments
The Guest, by signing this form, warrants that he/she is duly authorized to sign for and bind all persons represented by him/her herein or for whom he/she is responsible, hereinafter referred to as “his party”, to the conditions of residence contained herein. The Guest agrees to be personally liable for settling all accounts in full at the time of departure (unless prior written arrangements have been made with management) the room rate as determined by LIONSROCK Accommodation for the period of residence together with the cost of food, beverage, activities, and value-added tax (if applicable), incurred by the Guest and his party during their stay at LIONSROCK Accommodation. Guests shall not be entitled to withhold or defer payment for any reason whatsoever.

Cancellation Policy
In the event of cancellation, the following rules shall apply:
More than 30 days prior to arrival : 10% of the total deposit amount
More than 14 days prior to arrival : 50% of the total deposit amount
2 to 14 days prior to arrival: 100% of the total deposit amount
Less than 48 hours prior to arrival : Forfeit full payment
