NOTE
Guided Kayak Trip
R350 per person. Minimum 2 persons and a maximum of 12 persons. PLEASE NOTE that you can contact us directly if you are more than 12 people to hear if we have availability. We can take up to 20 people on a tour.

We have been operating in St Helena Bay since 2020, bringing our 12 years of experience in guided kayaking from Cape Town to the west coast.

We operate a fleet of 12 double and single seater high end fibreglass kayaks which are very light, stable, comfortable and navigate easily through the water requiring minimal effort – thus you don’t need to be physically strong. All paddles are carbon fibre racing paddles which make them very light and efficient.

We are registered with the African Paddle Association and trained by their designated instructors. All kayaks and equipment are approved by the South African Marine Safety Authority (SAMSA). All trips are conducted in controlled and safe conditions and are weather dependent.

WeatherThis experience requires pleasant weather and good sea conditions. Calm weather is usually expected in the morning, with the wind picking up from around noon. If the excursion is cancelled due to unpleasant weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

What to Wear Shorts, T-shirt & sports shoes, flipflops or bare feet are ok. Be aware that your shoes are likely to get wet. Please bring a warm jacket as it is always cooler on the water.

Things to Bring Camera, binocs, warm jacket, bathing costume, hat, sunglasses, sunblock. In summer sunblock and a hat are a must while a towel sometimes comes in handy. Water and munchies

Inclusions and Exclusions

InclusionsA 2-hour guided coastal adventure to Shelly Point lighthouse and then to Bird Rock Island. All equipment: kayaks, paddles, life jackets, guides and instruction. Complimentary photos are also taken and loaded onto Facebook for download.

ExclusionsAny meals and drinks (unless specified in itinerary) / Items of a personal nature / Gratuities / Transportation to launching site.

Notes

Family friendly / Any age group / Duration: approx. 2 hour / Children of all ages pay the same adult rate / Kayak trip will be determined by the wind, rain and tides. This will be communicated to the client / There always is a risk when putting out to sea. Although management and crew will take every precaution with regard to your safety, please be aware that your participation in this activity is at your own risk. You will be asked to sign an indemnity.
