NAMIBIA CLASSIC TOUR (SOSSUSVLEI, DAMARALND, ETOSHA)
11 Day all inclusive safari. Namibia is unlike anywhere else on Earth, a place where you’ll feel incredibly small by the magnitude of your surroundings and in complete awe of Mother Nature’s finest achievements. So, if you’re after one of the great road trip adventures, keen to see the Big Five Wildlife, or to have an adrenalin kick of epic proportions, Namibia is absolutely worth visiting!

We visit Sossusvlei, we enjoy Deadvlei and walk up the huge sand dunes. Here are abundant Wildlife, like Oryx, Springbuck to be viewed. We enjoy Swakopmund has to offer. Making a stop at Cape Cross Fur Seal Colony.
We visit Brandberg and take a guided walk to the White Lady.
We visit a Living Damara Cultural Museum. We enjoy a full day searching for Desert Elephants near Twyfelfontein. Etosha National Park have many wonders to explore and see from the comfort of our safari vehicle.
TOUR ITINERARY:
DAY 1:
Windhoek – Sossusvlei
We pick up guests at 09h00 in Windhoek at your accommodation on day 1 of the Safari.
Guests that require pickup from Windhoek International Airport must please Confirm with us their flight details and arrival times, and arrive the day before the Safari start time (Accommodation – Not Included).
We drive from Windhoek to Sesriem on day 1 of the Safari. Stopping en-route at a small town called Solitaire and visit their famous bakery to enjoy a cappuccino and their delicious apple pie.
After unpacking the vehicles and stretching our legs we visit the Sesriem Canyon late afternoon. Sesriem Canyon, about 4 km from Sesriem is a natural canyon carved by the Tsauchab river into sedimentary rock layers.

DAY 2:
Sossusvlei
We drive to Dune 45 to climb the dune to watch the magnificent sunrise over the Namib desert. Continue to the 4×2 parking area for Sossusvlei, followed by an expedition to Sossusvlei and a hike to Deadvlei.
After an eventful morning, we return to the campsite for some reading and relaxation, a swim or even an afternoon nap.

DAY 3:
Solitaire – Swakopmund
We depart after early breakfast heading north towards Swakopmund. We enjoy a lunch en-route towards Swakopmund.
We stop along the way for pictures over the magnificent landscapes, we stop at dune 7 for a quick visit.

DAY 4:
Swakopmund
A day exploring the town of Swakopmund. There are many activities to choose from which include skydiving, sandboarding, dolphin, and whale watching as well as the all-time favorite, quad biking in the desert.
Your tour leader will provide all the relevant information and make the necessary arrangements. (Please note: all extra activities are for your own cost).

DAY 5:
Henties Bay – Messum Crater – Brandberg
After a delicious breakfast, we check out and depart for Brandberg region via the Cape fur seal colony at Seal Point.
Continue inland and head for the Messum Crater. This dry, desolate area boasts the most beautiful landscapes and the centuries old desert plant, the Welwitschia mirabilis.

DAY 6:
Brandberg
After a delicious breakfast, we take a walk into the Brandberg Mountain to visit the famous ‘White Lady’ and the numerous other bushman paintings that can be found in this sacred canyon.

DAY 7&8:
Twyfelfontein
After breakfast, we visit Twyfelfontein, well known for its prehistoric paintings and rock engravings. The site has been inhabited for 6,000 years, first by hunter-gatherers and later by Khoikhoi herders. Both ethnic groups used it as a place of worship and a site to conduct shamanic rituals. The route takes us into the Ugab River for 14km, then out the River again covering a very rocky section on the east side of the Doros Crater.
Continue following the Goantagab River and then onto a 2-spoor road until we head the Organ Pipes then Burnt Mountain up towards Twyfelfontein.
Day 8: We explore the Huab River and search for the desert elephants for the day.

DAY 9:
Twyfelfontein – Outjo – Etosha
We depart after breakfast for Outjo via the Petrified Forest. The name is a bit misleading as it is not exactly a forest, which turned to stone, but rather an accumulation of enormous fossilized tree trunks about 280 million years old. Scientists discovered that these trunks haven’t actually grown in today’s Namibia but were washed down a river during ancient times carrying them to where they lie today.
Stop for refueling and replenishments in Outjo before heading to our next destination, Etosha.
Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in our tour vehicle exploring a waterhole and area around the edge of the pan. Spend the rest of the evening observing the nocturnal activities taking place at the campsite’s floodlit waterhole.

DAY 10:
Etosha
Enjoy an early breakfast whilst catching the sunrise over Etosha. Today we can choose to either park in the shade and keep watch over a waterhole to see what wildlife emerges or explore the Park’s excellent road network for game viewing. This is our last full day of the trip. Bird life is exceptional with 325 identified species.
The animal numbers which live around the pan approximate to 30,000 blue wildebeest, 25,000 springboks, 23,000 zebras, 5,000 kudus, 3,000 hartebeest, 2,600 eland, 3,000 oryx, 450 giraffes, 2,000 elephants, 260 lions, 200 Black Rhinos and numerous other smaller creatures. Enjoy another of our delicious dinners followed by more nocturnal wildlife viewing at the campsite’s floodlit waterhole.

We check out after breakfast making our way back to Windhoek.

The Safari Tour commence every Monday from NAMIBIA, Windhoek between April and October, and conclude back in NAMIBIA, Windhoek.
