ROADWORKS ALERT: Due to ongoing roadworks and with the festive season starting, please expect delays of up to 40min. We recommend setting your arrival time (on Google Maps) for 40min prior to your booking time starting, which should give you the longest time it will take. Please be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your time slot begins to ensure your indemnity is completed and you receive the safety briefing.
Any riders arriving late will forfeit time out of their booking. A minimum of 2 riders is required for a ride to go out. Group size limited to 15 riders. For larger parties, please contact us so we can accommodate your needs. No under 8’s on horses. This service is weather dependent. All of our trails are led by experienced guides, ensuring a safe and memorable experience. We are conscious about the environment, we respect nature and adhere to strict operating guidelines to protect the amazing space we operate in.
We do not allow any rider over 95kg on a horse, or any rider over 110kg on a quad bike, and reserve the right to put a rider on a scale should we feel that they are over the weight limit. If you are over the weight limit when making the booking you will not be liable for a refund.
The Horse Drawn Carriage is a great option for persons over 100kg, but we do need to be notified in advance to ensure there is space on our carriage.
All riders are required to wear a helmet. Helmets are tight fitting; please note that wigs or extensions can cause the helmets to not fit. Therefore, we request that all riders have their hair in a practical hairstyle when coming for horse or quad bike riding as no one will be allowed out without a helmet. If you have any concerns about the above restriction, we recommend booking a carriage ride and/or a glamorous photoshoot instead.
Participants will not be allowed to take part in any activity if any of the following are not adhered to:
I warrant that I’m free of any drugs and / or alcohol.
Indemnity forms must be completed with the same particulars as per ID or passport document.
Valid ID, Passport, or driver’s license must be supplied on arrival.
No bad behavior or foul language will be tolerated.
Absolutely loved the horse riding through vineyards with Michelle and Blom. Both so welcoming and delightful and well mannered horses. Beautiful scenery and feel blessed to have had such a wonderful experience. - Andrew
What an awesome experience this was as a first timer for horse riding for myself and my daughter. What a fantastic experience with a super patient and experienced guide and the best horses, Dawn and Sally, that were specifically picked for us. They made us feel calm and excited to be riding them. I highly recommend using this Wine Valley adventures for horse riding.........I cannot wait to have this adventure again? - Tracey
Thank you Michelle for making our experience absolutely memorable.I would definitely love to do it again?? - Melissa
I rode a lovely, well trained Fresian mare who never put a hoof wrong. The ride was for an hour along trails in the hills overlooking the valley and vineyards. Our guide was delightful and a pleasure to talk with. All too soon we were back at the farm. Next time I would most certainly go for a much longer ride. - Chantal
Thank you for a fantastic ride in the beautiful vineyards. Marne gave our daughter the best ride of her life(her words) and Pigeon was a great babysitter for Mum and Dad who are not so comfortable on horseback. You were both happy to give your time and commentary on the vineyards, horses and your interesting lives as well as allow us loads of cuddles with the horses. A brilliant morning all round, we will definitely come back when we are in the winelands again. - Anton,
